Medical radiation practitioners must complete 60 hours over each 3-year CPD cycle, including at least 10 hours in any one year and substantive CPD.
Medical radiation practice 3-year CPD cycle: 1 December to 30 November; AHPRA registration renewal is 30 November.

Category and topic requirements
- Substantive CPD (minimum 35 hours): At least 35 hours in each 3-year cycle should be substantive CPD.
- Scope-relevant CPD: The remaining CPD is not mapped to fixed CPDKeep category minimums.
Caveats
- The Board lists fixed 3-year cycle dates; during this review the current cycle was 1 December 2024 to 30 November 2027.
- The annual 10 hour minimum applies inside the 60 hour triennium.
