Osteopaths must complete 25 hours of CPD each registration year, including four hours on Board mandatory topics, and maintain a current senior first aid certificate or equivalent.

Registration year: 1 December to 30 November; AHPRA registration renewal is 30 November.

Osteopaths complete 25 hours of CPD each annual registration period, including four hours covering Osteopathy Board mandatory topics, and maintain a current senior first aid certificate or equivalent.

Category and topic requirements

Scope-relevant CPD: The standard does not set a fixed CPDKeep category split for the 25 hour total.
Osteopathy Board mandatory topics (4 hours): Complete four hours covering one or more Osteopathy Board mandatory topics.

Standalone requirements

Senior first aid certificate or equivalent: Maintain a current nationally recognised senior first aid certificate or equivalent. Cadence: Generally renewed every 3 years unless the certificate or Board guidance requires earlier renewal.

Caveats

The first aid requirement is standalone and should not be counted towards the 25 CPD hours unless Board guidance says otherwise.
